Definitive GlossaryThis policy explains how the Definitive Glossary app for Confluence Cloud ("the app") handles data. The app is provided by e360 Consulting ("we", "us").
Summary
The app runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform. Your data is stored in Atlassian's cloud with your Confluence site, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot access it.
What the app stores
- Glossary content your users enter: terms, aliases, definitions, status, space scope, source links and review dates.
- Atlassian account IDs: for term owners, glossary editors and people who change terms, used for history and the audit log. We don't store names or email addresses; Confluence shows those from your site. Once a week the app reports these IDs to Atlassian's personal data reporting API, and erases the IDs of closed accounts from everything it stores.
- App settings and job status: glossary editors, linking options, reminder settings, and the progress of bulk-linking jobs.
Where it is stored
All data is kept in Atlassian's Forge hosted storage, tied to your site's installation of the app. The app makes no network requests outside Atlassian, and it is eligible for Atlassian's "Runs on Atlassian" program.
What the app changes in Confluence
When a user links glossary terms on a page, or an editor links a whole space, the app inserts glossary-term macros into the page and saves a normal page version. If review reminders are on, the app maintains one page named "Glossary review queue" in the space you choose.
Retention and deletion
Glossary data is kept while the app is installed. Admins can export it to CSV and delete terms at any time. A term's history is kept after the term is deleted, for audit purposes. When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian handles the app's stored data under its Forge data retention policies. Glossary macros already inserted in pages stay in the page content until they are removed.
Cookies and analytics
The app sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. This website uses no tracking either.
